  • At a Science Slam, scientists present their research in an accessible and entertaining way in front of a broad audience. Each presentation takes typically 10 minutes and afterwards, the audience can decide who convinced them most. It is a fun and engaging way of communicating your research to the public. The performance is often accompanied by slides but in general, all kinds of creative tools are allowed: videos, music, dance, pantomime, a live experiment on stage, or a combination of all! Download our fun explainer.

  • Sabrina is a researcher at Freie Universität Berlin (FU Berlin) in Germany where she works on theoretical quantum control and quantum technologies. She is passionate about science communication and participated in several formats, such as “Soapbox Science” and “Pint of Science”. She has launched her own blog “Physicus Minimus” and works as a freelance science journalist for several German magazines and newspapers. Since 2020, she is an active Science Slammer and has performed on stages all over Germany.
